01About this agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) cover the Unwind website and app services provided by Null Machine, based in India (“we”, “us”, or “our”). Please read them before using Unwind. By using the service, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using it.
You must have the legal capacity to enter this agreement. If applicable law requires authorization from a parent or guardian, you must have it. The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled; accepting these Terms does not replace any separate consent required for personal-data processing.
The current website and app are previews. Accounts, cloud sync, circles, hosted shared links, purchases, and other features labelled as forthcoming are not currently offered as live services.
02Using Unwind
You may use Unwind’s available features for personal journaling, reflection, and creative activities, subject to these Terms. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the website and its materials for that purpose.
The Unwind name, app design, website, prompts, illustrations, audio, and other materials we provide belong to Null Machine or their respective licensors. These Terms do not transfer those rights. You may use the app’s built-in export and sharing features as intended, but may not resell our prompt library, media, or software without permission.
If you obtain the app through Apple’s App Store, the applicable App Store terms and software licence also apply, including Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement where no custom licence is provided. These Terms do not override rights or obligations that cannot be changed under those agreements.
03Your content
You retain ownership of your writing, drawings, photos, and other content. Adding something to your journal does not give us ownership of it. You authorize only the processing needed to provide the functions you request, such as saving, displaying, and exporting your content.
Only add or share content you have the right to use. Consider other people’s privacy before including their personal information or photos. You are responsible for choosing what to export and who receives it.
Exported files and copies shared through other apps leave the journal’s controls. Recipients may retain or forward them, and deleting an original entry will not remove those copies. Review your export and any options for hiding writing or photos before sending it.
04Responsible use
Use Unwind lawfully and respect other people’s rights. Do not:
- Use the service to distribute unlawful material, threaten or harass others, or infringe privacy or intellectual-property rights.
- Attempt to access another person’s data, bypass security controls, introduce malicious code, or disrupt the service.
- Misrepresent your identity when contacting support or misuse any connected feature made available to you.
- Copy, sell, or redistribute protected service materials beyond the permissions in these Terms or applicable law.
Nothing here limits rights that applicable law gives you, including permitted uses of software and other protected materials.
05Wellbeing & personal care
Unwind offers journaling prompts, creative exercises, breathing activities, and audio for general reflection and relaxation. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, therapy, or crisis support. No particular health or wellbeing outcome is promised.
Choose activities that feel appropriate for you and stop if an exercise causes discomfort. Seek advice from a qualified professional when you need it. Journals and support messages are not monitored for emergencies; contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis service if you need urgent help.
06Availability & your book
We may improve, change, or discontinue preview features. Screenshots, demonstrations, and descriptions of forthcoming features do not guarantee a release date, price, or future availability. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation or support for every device.
The current preview stores your journal on your device. Keep exports or backups of anything important to you. Device loss, app removal, storage problems, or erasing the local book can result in lost content. We cannot restore information that was never sent to us.
A journal lock and sealed-note feature help control access within the app, but are not a guarantee against all access to your device or its stored files. You are responsible for securing your device and the copies you create.
07Purchases & other services
This preview does not accept payments or activate subscriptions. References to Plus, packs, journal activation, or rewards describe planned experiences and do not create a purchase, entitlement, or cash value.
If paid features become available, the checkout will state their price, billing period, any automatic renewal, and relevant terms before you confirm. Purchases through an app store will be billed and managed through that store. Any cancellation and refund terms will be explained at purchase, and statutory consumer rights will continue to apply.
Sharing destinations, device backup services, app stores, and external websites operate under their own terms. We do not control those services. Any future account or cloud feature may require additional terms and privacy notices before use.
08Ending use
You can stop using Unwind at any time. Export your book first if you want to keep a copy, and use the app’s privacy controls to erase the local journal. Deleting local content does not remove copies in backups, exports, or other people’s possession.
We may restrict access to services we operate when reasonably necessary to address a serious breach of these Terms, a security threat, or a legal requirement. Where reasonably possible and lawful, we will explain the reason and how to contact us. This does not give us remote access to erase a journal held only on your device.
Provisions that need to continue after use ends, such as content ownership, applicable limitations of liability, and dispute resolution, continue to apply.
09Responsibility & liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the preview is provided as available, without additional warranties about uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or a particular result.
To the extent permitted by law, Null Machine is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, loss of business or profits, or losses caused by unauthorized device access or third-party services outside our reasonable control.
These Terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or any mandatory consumer guarantees. They do not take away remedies you have under applicable consumer or data-protection law.
10Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to any mandatory protections that apply in your place of residence. Disputes may be brought before a court or forum with jurisdiction under applicable law. No exclusive city or mandatory arbitration requirement is imposed by these Terms.
If something is wrong, you can contact contact@nullmachine.in so we can try to resolve it. Contacting us first does not prevent you from using any complaint process or legal remedy available to you.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining Terms continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
11Changes & contact
We may update these Terms as the service develops. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate notice before they take effect, and we will seek agreement where required by law. Changes do not remove rights that have already accrued.
